Kueh Batik Sarawak

Baking is the only work I can do in my house. I seldom do housework, I seldom cook, I don't have child yet for this moment, I just need to go work, come back house at noon and wait to fetch husband everyday then back to mother's house for dinner... That's all my life for now.
Hehe, a bit moody actually today... I think back one of my friend who told that : xiao hui, you like to smile like to laugh... very happy... but you this kind of lady... isit very easy moody and feel not happy also? And then sooner your mood is ok back right?
Yeap, she is right! This is me... =)
Ok back to my baking diary... I baked super easy kueh yesterday which is Kueh Batik Sarawak, I think most of you also love this cake right? ;) Its nice ;)

CreamCheese Buttercake

Butter cake which mix up with butter and margarine, I think is common, but... butter mix up with cream cheese, sua gu me, first time to taste it and it really really taste good !!!

Zebra Buttercake?

I fail :( Huhuhu... I fail to draw it's pattern la, so sad... But my friend send me new recipe for buttercake... Waoh, really a nice buttercake with soft texture !!! I love it... I will try again on Cream Cheese Buttercake and Cheddar Cheese Buttercake, stay tune!

kakakaka, did you see any zebra's pattern? Nope? Means I fail jor loooo :P From this photo, two things remind me if I gonna try again, first, don't too thick on each batter and don't put the chocolate as the base =)

Horlicks Kek Lapis

Wao, I am so happy because I finally success to bake kek lapis! It really took me long hour to bake this. I personally love this cake so so much, I mean kek lapis... I still remembered when I was in University 4 years back, I used to buy this every Saturday! It cost me so much, a little small piece cost me RM3.50. Only very small piece. Until last Saturday, mum bought it from market and she never knew that I so in love to this kek... :P And, after few attempt, I finally success =) Seems that we need patient to complete this kek !!!

鱼松肉蛋糕

看着厨房的那罐从台北买回来的鱼松肉，也不懂要怎样处理， 看着看着。。。脑海有出现了一个让自己有借口烘焙的方式。哈哈，原本的肉松蛋糕，给我改成了鱼松肉蛋糕了。。。超简单的方法，我做了那么久的蛋糕，今天的方法可说是最简单又快速了。 看看我的蛋糕，明天同事们又有口福了 :)

Soya Bean Sponge Cake

Dig out a recipe on Pandan Sponge Cake but my outcome is Soya Bean Sponge Cake, WHY? I don't have any pandan leave at home =(
I replaced the pandan juice amount with soya bean =)

You will wonder why I used the love shape mold... I can't find my sponge cake mold, maybe I leave it at mummy's house.

Cempedak Butter Cake

Mummy never request me to bake her cake. But yesterday she request for a Cempedak flavor butter cake.

Here's da cake for my beloved mum. Coming wednesday is her birthday and I have surprise for her and a task for myself ;)

"EGG" Cake

Sounds funny why I named my cake as "EGG" Cake right? Errr, I used 20 yolks to complete this little sweety. Look at the structure, don't have cake (normally) texture. The feeling is like munching egg inside your mouth.
"Life is like a rountine, sometime is boring" BUT baking makes me happy all the time =) Think to prepare western dinner tomorrow but depends on mood :P

Happy Mother's Day

A bit different for this year... I have another woman who play another role in my life. Well, of course I have only one beloved MUMMy who help me and take care of me from time to time, nobody can replace her in my life. She is the only one!

Another woman that I mentioned is my mother's in law. She is a very good to me and always joke and chat with me when she saw me. She told me : "I have no daughter and I just treat you like my own daughter." :P

This year, I baked them a different cake. I like gila in cooking and baking nowadays.
Mummy love coffee chocolate cake so I baked her the flavor that she like =)

And seems that this is the first year I celebrate with her so I dunno what flavor she like... and finally I came up with this Pandan Layer Cake.

Chocolate Cheese Cake

This is my first attempt Chocolate Cheese Cake! The image a bit disturb I know :P For me, the taste is nice... but for Hus... the taste is bad, you know why? He hate cheese cake! He don't like cheese cake at all !!!! Haha,I force feed him one scoop and I almost make him vomit :P *you know how serious he don't like the cheese cake* !!!
Anyway, I love it !!!

*anyway, I make a mistake in photoshop... suppose is 巧克力芝士蛋糕, but I miss the word “糕”!!!*

Marrie Biscuit Steamed Cake

I love Saturday and Sunday. Normally I will put aside my working paperwork and start my job at my kitchen.
